Pokémon League Cup events are competitive tournaments in the Play! Pokémon Championship Series, designed for players looking to test their skills and earn Championship Points toward invitations to larger events like Regionals and Internationals.
When: Sunday the 16 November 2025
Time: Check in starts at 9:00, with round 1 kicking off at 9:30 sharp
Entry: £16
Maximum Participants: 20
Prizing:
Boosters and Play Pokémon Prize Packs add to prize pool per attendee.
Champion playmat awarded to top player in each division.
Up to 50 Championship points are up for grabs
What do you need?
Pokemon ID
Please bring your Pokemon Play ID with you on the day. If you don't have one, please register on www.pokemon.com.
You can find your player ID on your profile under "Play! Pokemon Settings".
Format
We are running Best of Three Swiss Rounds, followed by single elimination top cut.
Standard Format event. Be sure to check that your deck meets the rotation schedule (G, H and Above)
How to build a deck
One of the most important rules is that your deck must be exactly 60 cards; it can’t be any more or less, even 59 or 61 cards! Also, except for Basic Energy, you can only have 4 cards with the same name in your deck. This means you can have only 4 cards called “Pignite” in your deck, even if they all have different attacks. Finally, your deck must have at least one Basic Pokémon in
it.
Decklists
You will need to submit your decklist before starting the tournament. You are welcome to use third party apps, but a print-out needs to be presented on the day with all the required details.
