As an official Play! Pokémon store, we are the best place to play, collect and trade your favourite little characters. Our Play! status means we have exclusive access to seasonal promos, event packs and sometimes hard to get stock.
While you are always welcome to come play at our cafe, we have a few designated events that happen on a regular basis where we give out promos and release more stock for our event attendees to get first dibs:
A weekly event from 14:30 to 17:30 for all TCG players to come together and share their passion with other players. Aimed at our younger clients, Level Up TCG Sundays is a fun, family friendly event for newcomers and seasoned players.
A weekly event held every Tuesday night from 18:30 till 22:00. While aimed at a more mature client base, all are welcome at TCG Nights.
League Challenge Events:
Pokémon League Challenge events are local, entry-level competitions designed for players of all experience levels. These events are held monthly on the last Sunday of every month. Participants can earn 15 Championship Points (CP) that contribute towards qualifying for the World Championships. The events are a great way for players to gain competitive experience and enjoy their favorite Pokémon games in a formal setting.
When: Last Sunday of every month
Time: Check in starts at 10:00, with round 1 kicking off at 10:30
Entry: £8
Prizing: Boosters and Play Pokémon Prize Packs add to prize pool per attendee.
Pokemon ID
Please bring your Pokemon Play ID with you on the day. If you don't have one, please register on www.pokemon.com.
You can find your player ID on your profile under "Play! Pokemon Settings".
Format
We are running a Best of Three Standard Format event. Be sure to check that your deck meets the rotation schedule (G, H and Above)
How to build a deck
One of the most important rules is that your deck must be exactly 60 cards; it can’t be any more or less, even 59 or 61 cards! Also, except for Basic Energy, you can only have 4 cards with the same name in your deck. This means you can have only 4 cards called “Pignite” in your deck, even if they all have different attacks. Finally, your deck must have at least one Basic Pokémon in
it.
Decklists
You will need to submit your decklist before starting the tournament. You are welcome to use third party apps, but a print-out needs to be presented on the day with all the required details. Please follow this link for the official deck list template: play-pokemon-deck-list-85x11.pdf. Alternatively send your filled in Decklist to info@oxshed.co.uk the night before the event.
