Community and Events
The release of Tarkir: Dragonstorm is more than just a new set of cards; it’s a celebration of the Magic: The Gathering community and Oxshed is so excited that we have finally been accepted into the Wizards Play Network. As an official MTG Store we have a whole season of events lined up that we hope excites existing players and brings in new players as well!
Prerelease events - 6 & 8 April
We kick off the season with two Prerelease events, one all day on Sunday the 6th April and another during TCG Tuesdays on the 8th April.
Like past factionalized sets such as Ravnica and New Capenna, the Tarkir: Dragonstorm Prerelease will feature a choice of five different Prerelease packs, one for each of the five dragon clans of Tarkir. Players will get to choose from the available clans based on their order of registration.
Additionaly, players who attend more than one prerelease for this season will be given a AR-enhanced Pinfinity pin. It does not have to be both events in our store only, another WPN registered event will count.

Commander Parties - 22 April & 20 May
Commander Party is a Commander event where players are immersed in the setting of the current season’s set—a special experience for Commander players and lovers of Magic’s story and lore. These events are ideal for players new to your store, where they participate in a casual in-store event and get absorbed in the world of Magic.
We will be hosting 2 parties at our TCG Nights on the 22nd April and 20th May!

Magic Presents: Spring Flourishes - 29 April
Magic Presents is a thematic event series run at various times throughout the year. Each iteration will feature new special rules that give players a different play experience than they can get anywhere else—and special rewards.
Magic Presents: Spring Flourishes is a booster draft with a special twist: each player will start the game with an emblem that provides them a gameplay bonus.

Store Championship - 18 May
Store Championship is a structured, Standard format tournament that follows many major Magic: The Gathering releases. It is an opportunity for your players to compete and earn commemorative promos.
Store Championship events are a great way to get players excited about the new cards a set brings to the Standard format. To allow your community to develop their decks and hone their skills, consider running additional Standard events such as Standard Showdown leading up to Store Championship.

Learn to Play - 13 April & 25 May
For those new to the game and wanting to learn more, we will be hosting Learn to Play events on Sunday 13th April and Sunday 25 May. No previous experience or decks needed, as all you need will be provided on the day. You will even be able to take your deck home with you.
