Change to TCG events and pricing

With October upon on us, we wanted to share some of the changes that will be going in effect from next month (1st October 2025).  Firstly, we wanted to thank everyone for their support over the past year and 5 months Together we have gone from 4 Star Wars geeks playing Star Wars Unlimited upstairs, to the buzzing Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) and Cafe you all love. However, in order to sustain our growth, to meet the changing requirements of our Organised Play (OP) programs and to make things fair across all players, we will need to make a few changes to how we run our events and sell our products. 

Change number 1: We will be adding an entry fee to our casual play events of a single booster of your chosen game. Should boosters not be available, entry will be £5 and include a non-Alcoholic drink of your choice. 

Change Number 2: We will be introducing Season Passes across all TCGs we currently support that will reward loyal customers and  can be earned/obtained at the start of every season. Benefits of the pass can include benefits like discounts, early access to pre orders, and invites to exclusive events. More detailed will be shared to our game specific channels closer to seasonal launches. 

Change Number 3: Unfortunately we will be raising our prices to align to FLGS standards, which is Recommended Retail Price (RRP). We cannot compete with online only retailers. As an FLGS we have additional costs, like staff, rent, maintenance, etc. While online retailers will always out price us, they cannot give you the experience, community and friendly service of your FLGS. As gamers ourselves, we advocate supporting FLGSs, whether it is ours or the one closest to you. With this will come a more stricter use of our Brick and Mortar benefits, ensuring that our loyal customers really do benefit from the store and the space we create. 

For our loyal customers, most of you already support us with buying drinks and boosters when you visit. We have designed the pricing and the Season Pass so that there is very little impact to you and the way you already support the store.
